Meka King is a seasoned performer, who is committed to continual growth and honing her skill.  I have worked with her on some extremely difficult vocal numbers, which she proved to master completely.  The thing that impresses me most about Meka, is that she constantly strives for excellence.  I have witnessed her skipping lunch with the rest of the cast, to stay behind and work out a part that was giving her trouble.  While most people are chatting, she would be in the corner with her headphones on; listening, working, never satisfied with mediocrity.  It is this work ethic that makes her a wonderful and capable candidate for any performance challenge that may come her way.  She has proven that she is committed to rise to the occasion, and I can’t recommend her more highly.

I worked with Meka on Disney’s 20th Anniversary Celebration of The Lion King motion picture. I had the opportunity to bring the Harambe Nights show to life with Meka and a phenomenal group of singers, dancers and performers. 

Meka was one of our featured vocalists. I appreciated her positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow. It was a pleasure to have Meka as part of the cast of this award-winning show. I had the pleasure of working with Meka at Universal Studios in Orlando where she was one of the originating cast members of a show I created for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter entitled, CELESTINA WARBECK AND THE BANSHEES. Very quickly in the rehearsal process, Meka stood out with her soulful voice and strong acting abilities. We decided to use Meka to record the lead role of Celestina on the official recordings that were presented to J.K. Rowling and Warner Brothers. We felt Meka’s impressive range, unique and exciting vocal quality, and the ease with which she mastered the music was exactly what we needed in that kind of high pressure situation. Meka was also a total pro onstage, and she captivated the audience with her witty and energetic portrayal of the character. I have no doubt that Meka has what it takes to make it on Broadway. To top it all off, she's an extremely positive person and any company would be lucky to have her as a cast member.
